09:00 - 17:00 (Time to be confirmed), Hyatt Place Vitacura Hotel
Part 2 to workshop session in Krakow, invitation only.
The aim of the session will be to strengthen capacity within Cochrane to support policy-makers in their use of synthesized evidence in decision-making. This follows a first session of its kind held as part of Cochrane’s annual Governance Meetings in April 2019 from which the presentations and handouts are available from the KT learning resources website here: https://training.cochrane.org/supporting-policy-makers
Once again, the facilitation of the workshop will be led by John Lavis from McMaster University and supported by experts from within Cochrane and also external policy-makers. The workshop will focus on three main elements:
- building and maintaining relationships with policymakers;
- developing dissemination products for policymakers; and,
- discussions on how to support work with policy-makers across Cochrane.
The session will include both practical exercises and facilitated discussions based on the experiences of those already working with different policy-making communities within Cochrane.
The workshop is free of charge and open to anyone working within Cochrane (including Centres, Fields, Networks, Review Groups) who are already, or who has plans to, work with policy-makers. However, due to limited availability, it may not be possible to accept all registrations. Where there are more applicants than spaces, we may limit participation to one person per Cochrane entity to ensure inclusivity and geographic diversity.
